Student beaten by two adults and ten minors in Bari park after trying to use public restroom
A 26-year-old philosophy student, Giuditta, was kicked by a group of two adults and about ten children aged 8 to 14 in Parco Rossani, Bari. The city says it will join the prosecution as a civil party.

Davis Aloschi, a 15-year-old student of the Teatro alla Scala ballet school in Milan, died after a scooter collision in Siracusa. On the same day, a four-year-old girl and another 15-year-old boy lost their lives in separate accidents near Bari and Salerno.

Naples heart surgeons banned for 12 and 7 months after two-year-old dies from transplant of dry-ice-damaged organ
A Naples judge has suspended cardiac surgeon Guido Oppido and his deputy Emma Bergonzoni for 12 and seven months, accusing them of falsifying the clinical record of a two-year-old boy who died after receiving a heart that had been frozen by dry ice during transport.
