Spinoff feature film debuts on Netflix

Netflix released "Call My Agent! The Movie" on Thursday, September 10, 2026, marking the screen return of the French showbiz comedy franchise six years after its fourth season concluded. The two-hour feature film provides a narrative continuation to "Dix pour cent", the series created by Fanny Herrero that chronicled the professional setbacks and personal neuroses of a Paris talent agency between 2015 and 2020. Directed by Émilie Noblet from a screenplay written by Herrero and Lison Daniel, the production brings back the core agency ensemble alongside guest appearances by Hollywood actors George Clooney and Eva Longoria, as well as French actress Laetitia Casta.

Transition from agency life to film production

The narrative picks up five years after the fictional talent agency ASK imploded and closed its doors, a finale that originally saw the despondent employees turn off the office lights and enter an elevator for what appeared to be a permanent departure. In the new film, Andréa Martell, portrayed by Camille Cottin, has left talent representation to direct her first feature-length film. To produce the project, she enlists Noémie, played by Laure Calamy, who has built a career in television after starting as an assistant at ASK. Gabriel, played by Grégory Montel, and Mathias, played by Thibault de Montalembert, remain active as talent agents, while Nicolas Maury reprises his role as Hervé, who has persisted in the acting career he launched in season four. Cottin noted that returning to the set quickly restored the chemistry among the cast.

Reuniting with them in their characters helped me find Andréa again. When I saw Grégory Montel as Gabriel, their strong bond came back like muscle memory.

Global audience and celebrity fan base

The French comedy grew into a worldwide streaming phenomenon during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns, aided by global distribution on Netflix as viewers stuck at home watched all four seasons. Cottin recalled that prominent figures including Meryl Streep and Tilda Swinton privately expressed admiration for the show. Clooney, who obtained French citizenship in 2025 and lives in southern France with his family, credited the series with getting him through the pandemic and agreed to a cameo as himself. Longoria, who also appears as a guest star, stated in 2024 that the show was her favourite and acquired the rights with her husband to produce an adaptation for Mexico and Latin America. The franchise has already expanded internationally, including the Indian remake "Call My Agent: Bollywood" and a planned sports agency series from Brad Pitt's Plan B company.

Reception and international adaptations

Critical reception to the two-hour release varied across European and American media. British daily The Guardian described the feature as a rare television spinoff film that succeeds, while industry trade publication Variety praised its brisk dialogue, industry in-jokes, and celebrity cameos. American outlet Slate offered strong praise, describing the work directed by Noblet as a delightful entry for fans. In contrast, British newspaper The Times judged the production more critically as underwhelming. The original series, named after the standard ten percent commission fee charged by French talent agents, previously won an International Emmy Award in 2021 after hosting guest appearances from actors including Isabelle Huppert, Monica Bellucci, and Isabelle Adjani.
