US jury orders Boeing to pay $29 million to family of Irish UN engineer killed in 737 MAX crash
A federal jury in Chicago has ordered Boeing to pay $29 million in damages to the widow of Michael 'Mick' Ryan, an Irish UN engineer among the 157 people killed when Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 crashed six minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa on 10 March 2019.

Abiy Ahmed's party sweeps Ethiopian parliament with 90% of seats, as voting shuts out Tigray and parts of Amhara
The Prosperity Party secured 438 seats (90% of declared results) in Ethiopia's June 1 legislative elections, all but ensuring Abiy Ahmed a second full term when the new parliament convenes in October. Voting did not take place in Tigray and parts of Amhara because of insecurity.
