Ferran Torres and Sara Sampaio pictured holding hands in Paris, fuelling romance rumours

Javi Hoyos, a Spanish journalist and presenter, posted a video on Tuesday, 27 October, showing Ferran Torres and Sara Sampaio walking hand in hand into a restaurant in Paris. He says the footage was recorded on 6 October and had not been shared until now. The clip arrived after several days of speculation about the couple, which began with a short Instagram story.

Hoyos introduced the footage with a remark about what it showed:

“Here we can directly see them walking into a restaurant in Paris, hand in hand.”

The speculation started when Sampaio, 35, shared an Instagram story showing a man kissing her on the nose. His face was not fully visible, and she deleted the image minutes later. Many viewers saw a resemblance to the Spanish national team forward, but no source established who the man was. Sampaio had also attended the Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on 20 October, where reports say she sat near the footballer's mother.

Torres's comment under her post

Shortly after the video spread, Sampaio posted an Instagram carousel of images in sportswear from a clothing campaign. Torres replied in English, asking her whether she trains every day, and added a surprised-face emoji. According to La Razón, the comment gathered more than 9,100 likes within about 15 hours. Several hundred users left messages assuming the couple were together and telling them to stop hiding it.

Denials and silence

The Objective published statements on Monday, 26 October, from sources close to the player that denied a romance and described the link as a friendship. Those statements came the day before the video was released. Neither Torres nor Sampaio has publicly confirmed a relationship, and the speculation has so far rested on images, a deleted story and a public comment rather than on any announcement.

Who they are

Torres, 26, is a forward for the Spanish national team who joined Paris Saint-Germain this season and lives in the French capital. Sampaio, 35, was born in Portugal on 21 July 1991 and grew up in Oporto. She won a Pantene hair contest in Portugal at 16 and later worked with agencies that took her career to Paris and New York. She is one of Victoria's Secret's angels and appeared in Superman, the film released in 2025.
