
19-year-old stabbed in chest during Patisia robbery attempt, fighting for life in ICU

The attack
A 19-year-old man, identified by one report as an Egyptian national, was seriously injured during a robbery attempt in the Patisia area. According to several accounts, the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, when an unknown individual or group approached the victim with the intent to steal his belongings. During the confrontation, the attacker stabbed the man in the chest, causing him to collapse at the scene, bleeding heavily.
One source, citing ERT, places the attack earlier, reporting that a group of people targeted the teenager around 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, inflicting the same chest wound. Police are treating the assault as a violent robbery attempt.
Hospitalisation and condition
The victim was transported to hospital by a friend, arriving shortly after 10 p.m. on the night of the incident. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the "Aglaia Kyriakou" Children's Hospital, where he remains under close medical supervision. His condition is described as critical.
Medical staff are considering transferring him by ambulance to another healthcare facility for continued treatment. No further details about his prognosis have been made public.
Police investigation
The Hellenic Police have launched an investigation and are collecting witness testimony and video footage from the surrounding area. Authorities are working to identify and locate the perpetrator, or possible accomplices, in connection with the stabbing. No arrests have been reported so far.
