Omoda unveils Omoda 4 entry model in Paris with hybrid and electric versions
Omoda showed its new entry-level Omoda 4 at the Paris Motor Show in hybrid and electric versions, and presented a deep renewal of the Omoda 5 at the same event. The company says the hybrid will start below 25,000 euros and the electric version below 30,000 euros.
A new entry point for Omoda
Omoda, which RP Online describes as an offshoot of the Chinese brand Chery, unveiled the Omoda 4 at the Paris Motor Show, which runs from 12 to 18 October 2026. The company describes it as the first real entry-level car in its range. At 4.42 metres long it is two sizes smaller than the Lamborghini Urus, whose look it borrows, and it is aimed at rivals such as the MG4 and the Nissan Leaf. Omoda has not announced a confirmed price.
Hybrid and electric versions
Omoda will offer the Omoda 4 as a hybrid or as a fully electric car. The hybrid pairs a system output of 205 kW (279 PS) with a 1.8 kWh buffer battery for short electric trips in town, and has a top speed of 179 km/h. The electric version uses a 160 kW (218 PS) motor and a 67 kWh 400-volt battery, which Omoda says gives close to 500 kilometres of range and charges at up to 120 kW. According to the company, the electric version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, against 8.1 seconds for the hybrid. Another account gives the hybrid a total output of 224 hp and 295 Nm of torque, the same set-up as the Omoda 5 hybrid, so the published hybrid figures do not match.

Launch timing and price
Omoda has not published final prices. It says the hybrid will start below 25,000 euros and the electric version below 30,000 euros, which would make the Omoda 4 its cheapest model. Launch timing differs between accounts. One expects the cars in dealerships at the turn of the year, while another says the first half of 2027, after the Omoda 5. One report notes that the Omoda 5 launched at a price close to 28,000 euros without an electrified version, so the Omoda 4 is expected to sit below that level.

Design and equipment
Design touches borrowed from Lamborghini include a red movable cover over the start button in the centre console and a digital cockpit. Standard equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, keyless start, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optional extras include a 360-degree camera that Omoda calls 540 because it also shows the area beneath the car, advanced parking systems, electric seat adjustment, an electric tailgate, synthetic leather upholstery, a panoramic glass roof and a 50 W wireless charger. Omoda also promises smarter voice control and remote operation of some functions through its own phone app, which has not yet been tested.
Omoda 5 renewal at the same show
Omoda is presenting a deep renewal of the Omoda 5 in Paris, with changes both outside and inside. The Omoda 5 hybrid has entered the ten best-selling non-plug-in hybrids in Spain. Francesco Colonnese, vice president of Omoda&Jaecoo Iberia, credits the brand's adaptability and short development cycles with giving it an edge over European rivals. Sales of the Omoda 7 and Omoda 9 have given the brand a new image, and the Omoda 5 now looks out of step with it.
