“I think Brock played so well. On the 99-yard drive, there were so many plays there he had to take off schedule and he would move the chains with his legs. Brock was unbelievable today.”

The defeat was the Rams' first loss by more than seven points since November 2024 and marked their lowest point total in a game started by Stafford. Defensive end Myles Garrett, acquired during the offseason, recorded zero tackles in his Rams debut after dealing with aches during training camp.

The fixture was the first regular-season NFL game played in Australia and drew 100,021 spectators to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The figure is the seventh-highest attendance in NFL regular-season history and the second-highest for an international game, behind only the 103,467 fans at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in 2005.

The Melbourne contest opened a nine-game international schedule for the NFL in 2026.
