The Pittsburgh Steelers were due to practice at Stade de France on Friday, 23 October, at 11 a.m. local time, after flying from Pittsburgh overnight. The team said the session was called off about 90 minutes beforehand because of bad weather, with wind and rain in Paris that Friday morning.
Instead, the Steelers planned to hold their news conferences at a downtown hotel. The Saints, who are based in Versailles, practice at Stade Municipal Montbauron. The league told journalists in an email that, in line with local authorities, there would be no media viewing portion of that day's Saints practice because of elevated wind and rain.
