A lying-in-state for Radical leader Emma Bonino opened in Rome's Campidoglio on 13 September, drawing crowds to pay their final respects.
The lying-in-state for Radical leader Emma Bonino opened in the Sala della Protomoteca at Rome's Campidoglio for 13 and 14 September. A European flag was draped over the coffin as a long queue of citizens gathered in the square outside to pay their respects.
Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri received the coffin at the site alongside Bonino's brother Giovanni and sister Domenica. Leaders of +Europa, Riccardo Magi and Benedetto Della Vedova, were also present to welcome the coffin.
