Alejandro Sanz gathers four children and partner Stephanie Cayo at musical premiere in Madrid
Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz presented the musical El alma al aire at Madrid's Teatro Coliseum, appearing on the red carpet with his four children and actress Stephanie Cayo.
Premiere at Teatro Coliseum
On Wednesday evening, Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz presented El alma al aire, a musical production built on his catalogue of songs, at Madrid's Teatro Coliseum on the Gran Vía. The show was developed across four years of work by Stage Entertainment, the theatrical company responsible for Spanish productions of The Lion King and Aladdin. Sanz established two creative conditions prior to production: the storyline had to be set in southern Spain, and the plot could not portray his own biographical life. The resulting narrative depicts a southern coastal fishing village where a young musician named Ale and his friend Bruno experience community disruption following the arrival of Alma, a Madrid property developer, and her two daughters. The local community is also affected by the Levante wind, personified by flamenco singer Inma 'La Carbonera'. Musical numbers incorporated throughout the stage work include Corazón partío, Amiga mía, Cuando nadie me ve, and La Música no se Toca. The venue held personal value for Sanz, whose father previously maintained a workspace inside the upper floors of the theater building where Sanz helped him as a youth.
First public gathering with children
The Madrid premiere served as the first public photocall where the 57-year-old singer posed together with all four of his children and his partner before the media. The four siblings, who reside in different countries because of their academic schedules, come from three different relationships: 25-year-old Manuela, who studied fashion design and is the daughter of Jaydy Michel; 23-year-old Alexander, who pursues music and is the son of Valeria Rivera; and 15-year-old Dylan and 12-year-old Alma, born to Sanz and Raquel Perera. Perera, who separated from Sanz in 2019 following twelve years together and seven years of marriage, attended the premiere alongside her children and described their current relationship as a positive friendship built on shared history.
Speaking before the performance, Perera explained the coordination required to assemble the siblings in Spain:
He really wanted to have all four of them, and in the end it was possible. Above all because of schools, they live in different countries.

Public debut of relationship and subsequent events
The premiere was also the first official red carpet appearance for Sanz and 38-year-old Peruvian actress Stephanie Cayo as a couple. Their friendship shifted into a romantic relationship in early 2026, leading to initial press photographs in February and public confirmation on social media two months later. Prior to the Madrid staging, Cayo spent summer holidays with Sanz and his children in Mallorca and accompanied him to Shakira's concerts in the capital. Hours after attending the musical premiere, Cayo travelled north to Asturias to attend the commercial opening of a Rosa Clará fashion boutique in Oviedo with Dani Clará, reflecting on her ongoing ties with the bridal brand dating back to her wedding in 2018.
Before entering the theater in Madrid, Sanz addressed reporters regarding the importance of his family and close circle:
Family and friends can never be missing.
