Arithmétique parlementaire et réaction de l'AfD
Under projections compiled by Infratest Dimap and ZDF, AfD is positioned to win 39 seats in the state parliament, three seats short of the 42 needed for an absolute majority. The CDU is projected to take 16 seats. Die Linke received 9.5% of the vote (9 seats), the Greens secured 9.0% (9 seats), and the Social Democrats (SPD) finished with 8.0% (9 seats). Concessions de la CDU et perspectives de coalition
CDU state leader Sven Schulze acknowledged his party's loss at a post-election event in Magdeburg, describing the campaign as intense and noting the influence of federal policy decisions.
Certains disent que c'est un jour triste pour la CDU. Moi je dis : mais c'est la démocratie.
Thorsten Frei, parliamentary managing director for the CDU in the federal Bundestag, observed that domestic intelligence authorities classify the AfD as right-wing extremist, while reminding listeners that the federal parliament is elected for a four-year term. CDU national general secretary Franziska Hoppermann described the vote as a very difficult result. SPD general secretary Tim Kluessendorf called for a democratic governing majority to exclude AfD, though he acknowledged that forming a working coalition in the state parliament would be very difficult.
Contexte économique et réaction internationale
No party in the state parliament has declared a readiness to build a coalition with AfD, meaning the party requires an absolute majority to govern unless rival factions alter their stance. No far-right party has led a German state administration since 1945. German public broadcaster ZDF cited business leaders and economists who warned that an AfD-led state administration could hinder foreign worker recruitment and business investment. In Portugal, Chega party president André Ventura posted on X to congratulate AfD on its result, citing anti-immigration policies and European identity. Official vote counting continues to determine whether AfD achieves the 42-seat threshold.
