Egyptian man remanded for murder of criminal lawyer Stavros Georgiou in Athens
The 28-year-old Egyptian confessed to beating 73-year-old Stavros Georgiou to death in his Athens office on 20 July, then selling his laptop for €50. He was also remanded for a pending case of indecent assault on a minor and drug offences.

Stavros Georgiou, a prominent criminal defence attorney, was discovered by his children at his office on 3is Septemvriou Street. Police are investigating the death as a possible homicide.
