Heavy rain in Toruń forced technical staff to deploy a protective tarp over the track, delaying the start of the PGE Ekstraliga final first leg by more than two hours until past 21:15. Despite concerns among supporters that wet weather would neutralize home track advantage, the surface prepared under track commissioner Maciej Głód held up before an overcapacity crowd at Motoarena. In the opening race, Daniel Bewley led off the start before Patryk Dudek launched a chase and passed the British rider on the final lap. Antoni Kawczyński won heat two ahead of Mikkel Andersen and Mikołaj Duchiński to put the hosts ahead 7:5. Artiom Łaguta held off Mikkel Michelsen in heat three, while junior Marcel Kowolik defeated Grand Prix series leader Robert Lambert in heat four. PRES Grupa Deweloperska Toruń finished the opening series leading Betard Sparta Wrocław 13:11.

Tactical adjustments in the middle series

Toruń widened the gap in the second series with a 5:1 double victory from Michelsen and Norick Bloedorn in heat five. Heat seven saw Andersen pass Dudek on the track before attempting an unsuccessful move on Michelsen, which allowed Dudek to reclaim position while Brady Kurtz struggled at the back. Sparta responded at the start of the third series by deploying a tactical substitution in heat eight, where Bewley and Kurtz secured a 5:1 win over Emil Sajfutdinow to trim Toruń's lead to 25:23. Lambert checked Sparta's momentum in heat nine by maneuvering between Bewley and Maciej Janowski, converting a potential Wrocław double into a 4:2 Toruń win. Łaguta overtook Bloedorn on the third lap of heat ten, leaving Toruń ahead 33:27 after three series.

Decisive double wins secure advantage

The decisive break arrived in heat 13 after Łaguta made a fast start from the tapes. Sajfutdinow caught the former world champion and completed an overtake, with Lambert immediately capitalizing on Łaguta's subsequent mistake to lock in a 5:1 heat victory. That double win expanded Toruń's lead to 45:33 with two heats left on the program. Michelsen anchored the host lineup with an undefeated tally of 14 points from five starts, supported by 11 points each from Lambert and Sajfutdinow. Referee Krzysztof Meyze oversaw the conclusion of heat 15 as Toruń closed out a 55:35 victory.

In Lublin and in the rematch at the Motoarena we showed how good of a team we are. The juniors are doing a very good job, we also do what we need to. We will see what happens in the final, what the weather will be like and how it all comes together.

Rematch outlook in Wrocław

Wrocław raced without injured regular Bartłomiej Kowalski, who watched from the Toruń pit lane and stated during a broadcast interview that he targets a return for the second leg:

I am doing everything to still return this season. There is a chance that I will ride in the rematch.

Sparta finished the regular season in first place before advancing to the title decider, while Toruń defeated Motor Lublin in the semi-finals. The return fixture in Wrocław requires Sparta to overcome a 20-point deficit on aggregate to claim the league championship.
