Dorota Krzewińska replaces Daria Sulgostowska as Iga Świątek's communications lead
Daria Sulgostowska steps down after nearly two years managing media relations and the player's foundation, handing duties to former Olympic Committee manager Dorota Krzewińska.
PR leadership transition
Dorota Krzewińska has taken over as PR manager and communications lead for Polish tennis player Iga Świątek. The change concludes a nearly two-year tenure by Daria Sulgostowska, who managed global media relations, PR strategy, and off-court initiatives for the world number nine. Krzewińska, who joined Świątek's organization earlier in the year to run foundation activities, now assumes responsibility for all public relations and external communications. The announcement was confirmed through official statements from both managers on 30 September 2026. The transition occurs as Świątek navigates broader adjustments in her support structure.
Sulgostowska's tenure and continuing roles
Sulgostowska entered Świątek's team following the departure of previous PR manager Paula Wolecka. During her nearly two years in the role, Sulgostowska coordinated media strategy and led the launch of the Iga Świątek Foundation, which established its inaugural scholarship program. Prior to her work with the tennis star, Sulgostowska served as vice director of corporate communication and ESG at CCC Group and head of corporate communication at G2A.com. She continues in her governance roles outside the team, remaining vice president of the Polish Tennis Association for communication and international cooperation as well as a member of the Tennis Europe Gender Equality Committee. Sulgostowska reflected on her departure in an official farewell statement.
The past two years were an exceptional professional experience and a very important time for me. The opportunity to work with Iga, accompany her during key sporting moments, but also develop projects reaching beyond sport was an immense privilege and responsibility. I am particularly pleased that during this time, together with the team, we managed to bring Iga's Foundation to life and launch its first scholarship program.
Krzewińska's background and responsibilities
Krzewińska brings over a decade of sports marketing experience into her expanded role. She spent more than 11 years at the Polish Olympic Committee as marketing manager, where she directed sponsor acquisition, contract management, and marketing activations across five Olympic Games. In January 2026, she joined Świątek's staff as project manager for the athlete's charitable foundation, collaborating closely with Sulgostowska over the subsequent months. Krzewińska will now oversee media requests, press conferences, and the global communication strategy for the five-time Grand Slam champion. She described the appointment as both an honor and a professional responsibility.
I am very pleased that after several months of work I am taking responsibility for communication in the team. The opportunity to work with Iga, an outstanding athlete and an inspiration to me and so many people both on the court and off it, is an immense privilege. I have dedicated my entire professional career to supporting professional athletes. I treat the new role as a great distinction, but above all an important commitment.

Wider context in Świątek's staff
The off-court reshuffle arrives during a transitional competitive period for Świątek. The 25-year-old tennis player is ranked ninth in the WTA standings following her most difficult Grand Slam campaign since 2019. Her qualification and participation in the year-end WTA Finals remain unconfirmed. Beyond communications, discussions within the team have focused on hiring an assistant coach to support primary coach Francisco Roig when the Spaniard cannot attend tournaments. Świątek previously identified the need for a secondary coach, though no sporting appointments have been finalized alongside the communications update.
