The winning sequence was 8, 13, 16, 52, 64, and 70, with Jolly number 17 and SuperStar number 21. The winning wager was validated for 5 euros across five panels at the Al Chicherin sales point, also trading as Al caffè, located at via Milano 36 inside the Il Viaggiatore goloso supermarket in Oggiono, in the province of Lecco. While early notices referenced nearby La Valletta Brianza due to the operating company's legal registration address, Sisal stated that the ticket was validated at the Oggiono supermarket site. The prize represents the first six-number win of 2026 and the highest active lottery jackpot globally at the time of the draw.

The retail outlet, established six years ago inside the supermarket, was closed when news of the jackpot arrived after 20:00 on Friday. Shop staff first learned of the result on Friday evening when Rai News telephoned the venue, after which local residents gathered outside the locked building. On Saturday morning, shop owner Massimo Sala and his employees opened bottles of sparkling wine as regular customers and curious visitors arrived to celebrate.

“Customer activity has been wild since yesterday evening. We had never seen such a large sum won here, at most a few thousand euros, never millions. We are thrilled for this person, extremely happy for him.”

The identity of the ticket holder remains unknown. Staff noted that the supermarket setting attracts daily commuter traffic and shoppers from neighbouring municipalities across the Brianza district, making it impossible to identify the buyer.

The 223.2 million euro payout is the second-largest jackpot in the history of SuperEnalotto, exceeded only by the 371.1 million euro pool distributed on 16 February 2023. It also represents the largest payout won on an individual ticket, surpassing the 209.2 million euro prize awarded in Lodi on 13 August 2019. The result is the tenth jackpot awarded in Lombardy since the game began, with the region hosting two of the three highest jackpots in SuperEnalotto history. Since the lottery launched in 1997, Italian players have won 119 jackpots and 135 total six-number combinations, distributing over 5 billion euros in first-tier prizes against odds of one in 622 million. Earlier top payouts include 177.7 million euros in October 2010, 163.5 million euros in Vibo Valentia in October 2016, and 156.3 million euros in Montappone in May 2021.
