Stellantis Q3 shipments fall 1% to about 1.3 million as Europe rises 10%
Stellantis estimates third-quarter 2026 global shipments at about 1.3 million vehicles, down 1% year on year. Europe grew 10% to 588,000 units on battery-electric sales, while North America fell 12% after planned summer production pauses.
Global volumes
Stellantis estimated its consolidated global shipments in the third quarter of 2026 at about 1.3 million units, or 1.286 million by the company's own figure, down 1% from the same period a year earlier. The estimates were published on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, and cover the quarter ended 30 September. The company defines shipments as vehicles delivered to the dealer network, distributors, or directly to end customers and fleets, which is the point at which revenue is recognised. Reuters attributed the overall decline to a summer production shutdown in North America. The group described contrasting regional trends, with growth in Europe offsetting weaker volumes in North America and in the Middle East and Africa.
In its statement, the company said:
growth in BEV volumes in extended Europe was offset by lower volumes in North America, which reflect the planned summer production pause, and in Middle East and Africa, mainly due to the decline of the Turkish market

Europe carries the growth
In extended Europe, deliveries rose by about 54,000 units, or 10%, to 588,000 units, driven mainly by battery-electric vehicles. Stellantis brands grew on the back of models built on the Smart Car platform, including the Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross, the Opel/Vauxhall Frontera and the Fiat Grande Panda, which together added about 26,000 units. The new Fiat 500 Hybrid and the new Jeep Compass contributed about 6,000 and 5,000 units respectively. Leapmotor, the Chinese brand distributed since 2024 through a subsidiary the group controls at 51%, reached 44,000 deliveries, about 34,000 more than in the third quarter of 2025, after the launch of the B10 and B03X. Volumes of other models fell by about 28,000 units in total, including the Opel Corsa, Opel Mokka, Citroën C4, Alfa Romeo Junior and Peugeot 2008.
North America and the summer shutdown
Deliveries in North America fell 12% to 357,000 units, about 47,000 fewer than a year earlier. The company attributed the drop mainly to planned summer production pauses that affected certain Jeep models, with the Grand Cherokee and the Compass each down by about 25,000 units year on year. Ram partly offset the decline with growth of about 17,000 units, which the company linked to demand for new models, including the Ram 1500 HEMI V8 and the Ram 1500 TRX. The North American result was the main drag on the group's global total, even as Europe expanded.
Middle East, Africa and the rest of the world
Deliveries in the Middle East and Africa fell 21% to 75,000 units, mainly because of the Turkish market, where volumes dropped by about 21,000 units. According to La Stampa, the Turkish decline reflected both weak local demand and a shift toward local production of small commercial vehicles, planned from October 2026. Volumes rose in Algeria and Morocco. South America was flat at 251,000 units, with Brazil up about 13,000 units against a fall of about 11,000 in Argentina. Asia Pacific deliveries fell 6% to 15,000 units, weighed down by Japan and partly offset by India.

Turnaround and product launches
Reuters reported that CEO Antonio Filosa announced a \u20ac60 billion ($67 billion) turnaround plan in May, after two years of declining market share and weak sales. Stellantis is launching six new vehicles and unveiling nine concept cars at the Paris Motor Show in the week of 13 October 2026. The third-quarter figures are estimates, and the company has not yet published its full quarterly results in the material reviewed.
