Real Madrid claimed the inaugural EuroLeague Super Cup title in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, defeating reigning EuroLeague champion Olympiacos 93-89 in a closely contested final. The Spanish side established an early cushion in the first quarter behind perimeter shooting and offensive rebounding from center Walter Tavares, finishing the opening period with a 24-15 lead. Olympiacos rallied repeatedly through forward Sasha Vezenkov, who led all scorers on the night with 22 points, and guard-forward Evan Fournier, who contributed 14 points. The Greek side cut the deficit to two points in the final minute following a three-pointer by Fournier. However, an out-of-bounds turnover by guard Jean Montero on the subsequent possession sealed the outcome for Madrid, marking the thirteenth turnover of the game for Olympiacos.

The match opened with low scoring and early turnovers as both teams adapted to aggressive perimeter pressure, with Vezenkov scoring the first basket before Madrid answered with a 6-2 run. Olympiacos leveled the score at 11-11 in the seventh minute behind defensive stops, but consecutive three-pointers from Jaime Pradilla, Sergio Llull, and Facundo Campazzo pushed the Spanish side ahead 22-12. Real Madrid maintained their offensive rhythm with five players reaching double-digit scoring, while Campazzo distributed nine assists over the course of the contest. Second-half momentum and late-game finish

Olympiacos opened the third quarter with a 7-0 run, taking their first lead of the evening at 50-47 before Gabriel Deck answered with two three-pointers for Madrid. Codi Miller-McIntyre coordinated a five-minute offensive stretch that helped Olympiacos build a 61-56 advantage midway through the period, featuring interior finishing from center Donta Hall, who totaled 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Real Madrid regained control late in the frame to enter the fourth quarter ahead 75-72. Despite a late fourth-quarter surge led by Fournier and Montero, who scored 12 points, Madrid held on in the closing seconds to close out the four-point victory.

Fenerbahce takes third place over Dubai BC

Earlier on Saturday, Turkish club Fenerbahce secured third place in the tournament with an 85-77 win over Dubai BC. Guard Talen Horton-Tucker led the Turkish side under head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, recording 23 points on 4-of-4 two-point shooting, 4-of-6 three-point shooting, and 3-of-4 free throws, alongside three rebounds and two steals. Trent Forrest and Wade Baldwin added 11 points each for Fenerbahce, while Shavon Shields contributed 10 points. For Dubai BC, coached by Xavi Pascual, Elie Okobo and Davis Bertans paced the offense with 14 points each. Former Olympiacos guard Thomas Walkup started for Dubai BC, recording three points, six assists, and two rebounds in 17 minutes and 37 seconds of action.
