Anna Twardosz and Naoki Nakamura claim Summer Grand Prix victories in Rasnov

Polish victory in the women's event

Anna Twardosz won the women's Summer Grand Prix competition on the Trambulina Valei Carbunarii normal hill (HS 97) in Rasnov on 19 September 2026. The 25-year-old jumper established a 9.4-point lead in the opening round after landing a 96.0-meter jump. In the final round, competing from a lowered inrun gate, she reached 90.0 meters to secure a winning total of 256.1 points. Twardosz finished 19.1 points ahead of runner-up Ringo Miyajima of Japan, who posted jumps of 91.5 and 88.0 meters. China's Bing Dong took third place with 233.2 points after attempts of 92.0 and 89.5 meters. The result made Twardosz the first Polish female ski jumper to win an individual event at the highest international level, following two third-place finishes on the same hill in the previous season and an Intercontinental Cup victory in Notodden in 2024.

Women's overall classification

The victory added 100 points to Twardosz's tally, elevating her to sixth place in the overall Summer Grand Prix standings with 174 points. Slovenia's Ema Klinec placed fourth on Saturday to take the yellow bib as the overall series leader with 285 points. Klinec holds a seven-point lead over Yuki Ito of Japan, who sits in second place with 278 points. China's Ping Zheng occupies third place with 192 points after the Romanian stage. Before arriving in Rasnov, Twardosz had opened the summer campaign with 11th and 19th places in Wisla, followed by 14th and 13th place finishes in Courchevel. The women's circuit holds another individual competition in Rasnov on Sunday before concluding the season in Klingenthal on 24 and 25 October.

Nakamura secures overall men's title

In the men's event, Japan's Naoki Nakamura secured both the competition victory and the overall Summer Grand Prix title on his 30th birthday. Nakamura, who won two rounds in Wisla and reached the podium in Courchevel earlier in the campaign, led the first round with a 93.0-meter jump. He sealed the victory with a 96.0-meter attempt in the final round, finishing with 234.1 points. American Jason Colby placed second with 215.2 points from jumps of 89.0 and 90.5 meters, having won both official training rounds. Norway's Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal took third place with 214.7 points after attempts of 89.0 and 89.5 meters. The win gave Nakamura 392 points across five competitions, establishing an insurmountable 192-point lead over Austria's Daniel Tschofenig.

Nations Cup standings and Polish men's results

Behind Nakamura and Tschofenig, Switzerland's Gregor Deschwanden ranks third in the men's standings with 181 points, leading Estonia's Kaimar Vagul by three points. In the Nations Cup, Austria holds first place with 830 points, while Switzerland sits third with 387 points and Norway follows in fourth with 372 points. Poland ranks sixth in the team standings with 235 points, where Maciej Kot holds 21st place individually with 64 points and Kacper Tomasiak occupies 22nd with 62 points. Among the three Polish starters coached by Maciej Maciusiak in Saturday's 44-man field, Paweł Wąsek placed ninth with 207.3 points after jumps of 84.0 and 92.5 meters. Dawid Kubacki took 18th place with 85.0 and 87.5 meters, while debutant Jan Galica finished 28th after jumps of 82.5 and 85.0 meters.
