During her debut media interview on the Rymanowski LIVE YouTube channel, First Lady Marta Nawrocka expressed readiness to host Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his wife Małgorzata Tusk at the Presidential Palace. The presidential spouse explained that she had previously met Donald Tusk in person and described him as a pleasant individual. She noted a strong interest in meeting Małgorzata Tusk, whom she has not yet encountered. When interviewer Bogdan Rymanowski suggested that hosting the prime minister for coffee or lunch could help ease domestic political friction, Nawrocka agreed with the proposal. She emphasized that direct dialogue and mutual respect are necessary across political divides to conduct public life without hatred.

Family budget and customs service pension

Nawrocka also detailed her household management and personal financial status since her husband, Karol Nawrocki, took office. She stated that she manages the family budget and pays household utility bills, noting that the president occasionally asks her for money when making individual purchases. Addressing debates over whether presidential spouses should receive state salaries, Nawrocka noted that previous first ladies received neither a salary nor insurance coverage. She explained that she is in a comfortable position because she already draws a state pension following 18 years of service as an officer in the Customs and Tax Service.

Under Polish regulations for uniformed services, personnel who enlisted before 2013 can retire after 15 years of service upon reaching age 40. The statutory pension begins at 40% of the base salary for 15 years of service and increases by 2.6% for each subsequent year completed. While Nawrocka did not state the exact amount of her monthly payment, estimates place it between 4,000 and 4,500 PLN gross, supplemented by an annual 13th pension payment. Mandatory retirement contributions currently paid by the Presidential Chancellery accumulate on her Social Insurance Institution account, which experts estimate will add between 400 and 500 PLN gross per month to a second general pension once she turns 60.

International summit and public commentary

Looking ahead to her official schedule, Nawrocka announced plans to convene an international gathering in Poland during the autumn. The planned conference aims to bring together presidential spouses from across Europe and other countries, with US First Lady Melania Trump included on the guest list.

The interview prompted commentary from figures outside political institutions. Former professional boxer Marcin Najman, who made his professional boxing debut in 2001, signed with mixed martial arts promotion KSW in 2009, and later competed in freak-fight promotions including Fame MMA and Prime MMA, shared a clip of the interview on X. Najman commended the first lady for her conciliatory tone toward political opponents.
