YouTuber Książulo abandons stay at Poland's largest hotel after air conditioning fails and yellow water flows from taps
Szymon 'Książulo' Nyczke paid 4,843 PLN for a night at the newly opened Hotel Gołębiewski in Pobierowo, but left early after the room temperature hit 32°C and the tap water ran yellow.
The stay
Popular Polish YouTuber Książulo, known for restaurant and hotel reviews, booked an apartment at the newly opened Hotel Gołębiewski in Pobierowo on 26 June. The five-star, 13-storey complex, which began a soft opening on 10 June, is the largest hotel in Poland with over 1,200 rooms. Książulo paid 4,843 PLN for one night for three people, including breakfast and dinner. He initially praised the apartment's finish and the view from the window.
Air conditioning failure
Shortly after checking in, the room temperature rose despite the air conditioning being set to 20°C. An electronic thermometer showed over 30°C, peaking at 32°C. Książulo reported the issue and a technician was sent, but the repair did not solve the problem.
According to the YouTuber, hotel staff admitted that other guests had also complained about the air conditioning that day.We are after the repair, temperature is rising.

Yellow water and other issues
While trying to cool down by filling the bathtub with ice and water, the group discovered that the tap water was yellow, even greenish.
Reaching the reception by phone also proved difficult; Książulo said he tried for half an hour before succeeding through the restaurant line. The hotel did not initially offer a room change, and when the YouTuber suggested it, staff could not guarantee better conditions elsewhere.I drained the water, look at this sludge.
Hotel's response
Hotel Gołębiewski issued a statement to portal o2.pl, expressing regret that the stay did not meet expectations. The management said that pre-opening air conditioning tests had shown no faults, but acknowledged the situation should not have occurred.
The hotel has contacted the air conditioning supplier to analyse the cause and prevent recurrence.Regardless of the outside temperature, unprecedented and even record-breaking, such a situation should not have taken place.
Reactions
The video garnered over 1.1 million views within 18 hours. Journalist Karolina Korwin-Piotrowska commented on Instagram, calling the situation "some kind of paranoia" and criticising the hotel's scale and the permit process.
Someone issued a permit for this hotel, someone built it, makes money on it, and the water in the taps is green, or only hot, or cold, you can cook yourself, you can't reach reception, but everywhere there are melting chocolate cookies.
