Ekstraklasa leaders Górnik Zabrze dropped points after a 0:0 draw away against Motor Lublin on Saturday evening in the final fixture of the day. The result ended a four-match league winning streak for the Silesian side, who entered the match following earlier Saturday fixtures where Korona Kielce beat Raków 3:2 and GKS Katowice defeated Cracovia 3:2. Despite failing to secure a fifth consecutive victory, Górnik Zabrze retained top spot in the standings with 22 points from nine rounds, a tally that guarantees first place regardless of Sunday's league matches. For Motor Lublin, managed by Mariusz Misiura, the single point moved the team to six points after nine matches, keeping them within the relegation zone.

Woodwork denies Górnik in first half

Górnik Zabrze pushed forward from the opening whistle in an effort to establish early control. The visiting side came close to scoring within the opening minutes, only to be denied twice by the frame of the goal. Forward Maksym Khlan attempted to loft the ball over goalkeeper Gasper Tratnik, but the shot struck the junction of the crossbar and post. Moments later, midfielder Malthe Hojholt struck the post with a long-range shot from outside the penalty box.
