Dua Lipa shares first images from lavish Sicilian wedding, unveiling custom Chanel Haute Couture gown by Matthieu Blazy
Two weeks after a three-day celebration in Palermo and Bagheria, the British pop star posted the official photographs on Instagram. The images show a hand-embroidered Chanel gown with 480,000 pearls and crystals.
Two ceremonies, two dresses
Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner were married in a discreet civil ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on 31 May 2026. For that event, the singer wore a Schiaparelli Couture white skirt-and-jacket ensemble designed by Daniel Roseberry, with an oversized hat by Stephen Jones and Christian Louboutin heels. Turner chose a classic navy Ferragamo suit. A week later, the couple hosted a grand Sicilian party at Villa Valguarnera, an 18th-century mansion near Palermo, where the main wedding dress was finally revealed.

The Chanel masterpiece
For the 6 June celebration Lipa turned to Chanel Haute Couture and Matthieu Blazy, who created his first bridal design as the house’s creative director. The dress was a sirena silhouette with a halter neckline and an open back framed by criss-crossed bands of crystals. Hand-embroidered at 31 Rue Cambon, it required 1,155 hours of work across four Maisons d’art. The Atelier Montex applied 480,000 pearls and crystals, Lesage worked trompe-l’œil jewellery motifs, and Lemarié hand-sewed 25,000 feathers onto the hem and a two-metre train. A six-metre tulle veil embroidered with beads, feathers and hand-cut organza appliqués completed the look, along with custom white satin pumps by Massaro. Turner wore a custom black Louis Vuitton suit with a bow tie.
The Instagram moment
On 20 June, nearly three weeks after the ceremonies, Lipa shared about a dozen official images captured by photographer David Sims. She captioned the post simply,
Within three hours the post gathered over five million likes. Fan comments, as reported by Portuguese outlets, ranged from congratulations to variations ofMr. and Mrs.
The couple began dating in January 2024 after meeting at The River Café in London and announced their engagement last year in an interview for British Vogue.The dress is everything.
