Chenoa and Alejandro Vergara to host RTVE's '¡Feliz 2027!' New Year's Eve gala

Chenoa and Vergara named as hosts

RTVE announced on Tuesday, 3 November, that Chenoa will front '¡Feliz 2027!', the New Year's Eve special on La 1 that will close 2026 and open 2027. She will share the presenting role with actor Alejandro Vergara, who played the doctor Abel Bueno in La Promesa and was a contestant on the cooking show Top Chef: Dulces y Famosos at the start of this year. The broadcaster says around 100 national and international artists will take part, with music, humour and "many surprises" promised for the countdown. Vergara will also appear in collaborations throughout the gala alongside Chenoa.

The show will be her third time leading the special, after 2021 and 2023. Last year she presented the Campanadas, the midnight chimes broadcast, together with Estopa.

Earlier ratings and last year's broadcast

Eldiario.es recalls that Chenoa's 2021 special, shared with Florentino Fernández, took a 28.4% share and 4,659,000 viewers. The 2023 edition, hosted with Rocío Muñoz and Carlos Torres, reached a 26.3% share and 3,292,000 viewers, a figure that includes the chimes segments.

Figures for last year's broadcast differ between sources. RTVE reports that the Campanadas with Estopa averaged 5,969,000 viewers and a 40.6% share, peaking at 6,962,000 viewers and 43.4% at the stroke of midnight. Eldiario.es gives a 34% share and 4,993,000 average viewers for the same trio. RTVE also says the full '¡Feliz 2026!' special led the ratings, 15.9 points ahead of the second option, with 3,584,000 viewers and a 32% share.

Other Christmas specials

La Razón reports that RTVE has also cast Manuel Carrasco for one of its Christmas music specials, joining Raphael and Camilo, who were already announced. Carrasco's show is titled 'Pueblo Salvaje', the same name as his latest studio album. RTVE describes the concert in its own announcement, saying it will combine music and technology.

The concert will tell its story through artificial intelligence, which plays a prominent role. The special will form part of 'La casa de la música', RTVE's program of large-scale music formats, though the broadcaster has not yet set dates for it. Last Christmas, programs featuring Dani Fernández and Abraham Mateo reached 20.3% and 19.2% share respectively, according to La Razón.

What is still open

RTVE has not published broadcast dates for the Carrasco special. Beyond the presenters and the figure of around 100 artists, the sources give no line-up for '¡Feliz 2027!' and no run time for the gala.
