Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss faces former coach Lane Kiffin and LSU
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss enters Saturday's matchup in Oxford against former head coach Lane Kiffin and LSU as an emerging 2027 NFL Draft prospect.
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss faces his former head coach Lane Kiffin on Saturday night in Oxford, Mississippi, when the Rebels host LSU and quarterback Sam Leavitt. Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU following the Rebels' run to the College Football Playoff and attempted to bring Chambliss with him, but the quarterback opted to remain at Ole Miss.
Chambliss won a Division II national championship at Ferris State in 2024 after being recruited out of high school by coach Tony Annese, who offered him a scholarship after watching him play basketball. Following his title season at Ferris State, Chambliss drew interest from Western Kentucky, Marshall, and Temple (which prepared a $300,000 offer in mid-April 2025) before committing to Kiffin and Ole Miss to compete with Austin Simmons. Chambliss enters the LSU matchup following a Week 1 victory over Louisville.
