The past 12 hours brought a familiar modern mix: borders hardening, markets cheering weak data, and courts reminding powerful men that procedure still exists. The strongest stories share one thread, systems built for calm are being tested by panic, war, heat, code and politics.

Brandi Carlile Postpones UK and European Tour to Spring 2027, Cancels Lisbon Show

The 11-time Grammy winner rescheduled her UK and European dates from October 2026 to March 2027 citing personal circumstances, canceling her Lisbon concert entirely while adding new dates in Wolverhampton and Copenhagen.

Tour rescheduled

Brandi Carlile announced on Friday, August 7, that she is postponing the UK and European leg of The Human Tour from October 2026 to spring 2027. The singer-songwriter cited "personal circumstances" and did not specify a further reason. The tour, featuring KT Tunstall as special guest, supports Carlile's eighth studio album, Returning to Myself, released in October 2025. The postponement does not affect the U.S. leg of the tour, which is scheduled to begin next week in Maine.

Carlile shared a statement on Instagram addressing fans directly.

I have been so profoundly anxious about this decision and I'm aware that this change may be disappointing and inconvenient for many of you, especially those of you who were planning on traveling internationally, but I am hoping this gives you all enough time to adjust any plans.

— Brandi Carlile

Lisbon show canceled outright

While most dates were rescheduled, the Lisbon concert scheduled for November 1, 2026, at Campo Pequeno was canceled outright. Portuguese promoter Everything Is New confirmed that ticket holders can request refunds at their point of purchase starting Friday, August 7, by presenting the ticket and proof of payment. The refund window closes on December 1, 2026, which is 30 days after the originally planned show date.

Carlile addressed her Portuguese fans specifically in a statement shared by the promoter.

Aos meus queridos fãs portugueses, infelizmente Lisboa foi o único concerto que não conseguimos encaixar nestas novas datas. Lamento muito e prometo que faremos tudo o que estiver ao nosso alcance para regressar o mais depressa possível.

— Brandi Carlile

Portugal is the only country on the tour where the concert was canceled rather than rescheduled. Carlile said her team worked to reschedule with minimal disruption but that venue availability necessitated changes to some locations.

New dates and venue changes

Two new dates have been added to the rescheduled tour, in Wolverhampton, England, and Copenhagen. For England shows that have changed venues, ticket holders will be offered full refunds along with priority presale access to the new dates. Carlile expressed enthusiasm about the additions and told fans she would make the wait worthwhile.
