Nawrocki leads trust poll as Bosak surges 10 points and Czarnek plunges

Nawrocki remains on top despite slight dip

President Karol Nawrocki continues to lead the trust ranking with 51.3% of respondents expressing confidence in him, according to the July IBRiS poll for Onet. This is a decline of 3.5 percentage points from June, but he remains the only politician to surpass the 50% threshold. Among those who trust him, 26.1% answered "definitely trust" and 25.2% "rather trust". On the negative side, 41.6% do not trust the president, with 31.9% definitely not trusting and 9.7% rather not.

Kosiniak-Kamysz and Sikorski round out the podium

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz climbed to second place with 42.3% trust, a gain of 7.4 points compared to June. This is his best result since October 2025. The breakdown shows 16% definitely trust him and 26.3% rather trust him, while 45% do not trust him (29.9% definitely not, 15.1% rather not). Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski took third with 41.5%, down 1.1 points. His distrust figure stands at 49.7%, with 34.7% definitely not trusting and 15% rather not.

Bosak's 10-point jump

The most dramatic shift came from Confederation leader and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak, whose trust rating surged by 10 percentage points to 39.9%. This is the largest increase among all politicians surveyed. The detailed results show 16.9% definitely trust him and 23% rather trust him, while 46.4% do not trust him (split evenly at 23.2% for definitely not and rather not). Bosak's sharp rise reflects Confederation's growing presence in Polish politics.

Czarnek's steep decline and Tusk's high distrust

Przemysław Czarnek, the Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister, recorded the biggest drop, falling 6.4 points to just 21.6% trust. That places him third from bottom in the ranking. Prime Minister Donald Tusk saw his trust slip by 2.6 points to 35.5%, but the more striking figure is the 59% who distrust him, including 43.1% who definitely do not trust him and 15.9% who rather do not. The gap between trust and distrust for Tusk exceeds 23 percentage points. Czarnek's low result as PiS's designated PM candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections may raise concerns within the party.

Other notable changes

Adrian Zandberg, leader of the Left Together party, gained 6.1 points to reach 24.5% trust. Sławomir Mentzen, another Confederation leader, rose 3.4 points to 26.8%. PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński fell 2.8 points to 26%, while former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki dropped 3 points to 32.3%. Włodzimierz Czarzasty lost 3.5 points to 32.5%, and Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz fell 5.3 points to 10.4%. Piotr Zgorzelski improved by 2.3 points to 30.5%, and Szymon Hołownia recorded 18.4% (no change figure provided). Krzysztof Gawkowski slipped 1.7 points to 21.9%, and Grzegorz Braun gained 1.2 points to 24.9%.

The survey was carried out by IBRiS for Onet on 24–25 July 2026 using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) with a sample of 1,100 adult Poles.
