Pier Silvio Berlusconi survives head-on collision near Arcore, suffers only minor injuries
The MFE-MediaForEurope CEO was driving home from work when an oncoming car lost control and struck his vehicle head-on. He sustained only minor injuries and will attend a memorial for his father Silvio Berlusconi as planned.
The crash
Pier Silvio Berlusconi, CEO of MFE-MediaForEurope (formerly Mediaset), was involved in a violent road accident on Wednesday evening, 10 June 2026, while returning home from his office in Cologno Monzese. The collision occurred around 21:30 on the provincial road between Villasanta and Arcore. Berlusconi was driving his own car in a line of traffic when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction lost control while accelerating, crossed into the oncoming lane, and struck his car almost head-on.
The impact destroyed the front end of Berlusconi's vehicle and deployed all airbags. Despite the severity of the crash, Berlusconi emerged practically unscathed. Sources cited by ANSA and AGI attributed his survival to the seatbelt and the car's protection systems. He reportedly suffered only minor injuries, described by sources close to the company as "a few small cuts" and "nothing worrying."
The other driver
Emergency services arrived at the scene and gave Berlusconi initial medical checks. The driver of the other vehicle also escaped serious harm. According to AGI, that driver was treated under a yellow code, indicating non-life-threatening injuries.
Schedule unchanged
Berlusconi's condition is such that none of his scheduled commitments have been altered. On Thursday evening, 11 June, he is expected to attend an event at Mediaset's headquarters to mark the third anniversary of the death of his father, Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away on 12 June 2023. The gathering involves all employees of the group.
Despite the force of the impact, he emerged practically unharmed, reporting only minor injuries.
Company continuity
No official statement has been released by Mediaset, according to Adnkronos, but multiple sources confirmed that Berlusconi's participation in the memorial event remains on the calendar. The accident has not disrupted the leadership of MFE, the European media group born from the rebranding of Mediaset.
