Following the match, sporting director Max Eberl stated that the player's medication is adjusted and that potential in-game issues are close to zero. Kompany explained that the decision to start Musiala was based on training form and merit.

Bayern expanded their advantage following Musiala's opening goal. In the 60th minute, Kane headed home a Michael Olise free kick, scoring in his eighth consecutive Champions League appearance. Alphonso Davies added a third in the 77th minute with a volley from the edge of the penalty area. Olise added a fourth in the 83rd minute with a curling shot before Bodo/Glimt defender Odin Bjortuft received a red card for a professional foul in the 87th minute. Olise completed his brace in stoppage time against the ten-man visitors, securing player of the match honours.
