American Horror Story season 13 set photos confirm Coven return, Jessica Lange among cast
Production images from New York City on July 9 show Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts and other franchise regulars reprising their witch roles for the upcoming season, which premieres September 24.
The first set photos from production of American Horror Story season 13 confirm the anthology series will revisit the world of its 2013 instalment, Coven. Images shot on the New York City set on July 9 feature franchise regulars Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy and Gabourey Sidibe. New faces in the coven appear to be Leslie Grossman, Avantika and Alex Consani, with Cara Delevingne and Charlie Carver also spotted.
The appearance of the witches follows earlier announcements from FX detailing the cast for the new season. Alongside the returning players, the network confirmed the long awaited comeback of Jessica Lange, the series' most iconic star who last appeared in 2018's Apocalypse. Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd will also be back, joined by Ariana Grande, John Waters, Paul Anthony Kelly and Joey Pollari. FX previously teased the Coven return with a first look photo of Paulson as Cordelia Goode, captioned "The Supreme Rises. And yes we have rebuilt the entire Robichaux Academy."
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the production images offer the first concrete look at the cast in character. American Horror Story season 13 will premiere on FX and Hulu on September 24 at 6 p.m. PT.
