Liechtenstein abolishes 400-year-old Salic law, opens throne to women
Hereditary Prince Alois announced on National Day that the princely family voted to replace male primogeniture with absolute primogeniture, ending a rule in place since 1606 and making Liechtenstein the last European state to drop Salic law.

Unknown perpetrators accessed the principality's anti-money-laundering register during the night of 29-30 July, copying data on companies, foundations and trusts before the breach was detected.
