US strikes southern Iran after Apache downed by Shahed drone, Tehran fires back with missiles
American forces struck targets in southern Iran on Tuesday evening after a US Army AH-64 Apache helicopter was shot down by an Iranian Shahed drone over the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Revolutionary Guards responded hours later with missiles and drones aimed at American positions in the region.
