    Poland under nationwide heat alerts as temperatures forecast to hit 42°C and possibly break the 1921 record

    The entire country is under IMGW heat warnings through Monday evening, with Sunday’s highs reaching 42°C in western and central regions. Prime Minister Tusk warned the sun “is no joke” after his own morning run proved a serious challenge.

    Thunderstorms, hail and heat: level-2 warnings cover half of Poland as RCB issues nationwide alert

    IMGW has issued level-2 thunderstorm warnings for much of central and southern Poland, with heavy rain, hail and gusts up to 80 km/h expected on Monday. The RCB sent a nationwide SMS alert, while firefighters already responded to over 1,200 weather incidents over the weekend.
