Iranian-French graphic novelist, cartoonist, illustrator, film director, and children's book author (born 1969)
The Franco-Iranian artist, whose graphic novel and Oscar-nominated film chronicled her youth during Iran's Islamic Revolution, has died in Paris. Her family attributed her death to grief over the loss of her husband, Mattias Ripa.
