lite.pollar.news is a minimal, server-rendered edition that loads fast on slow links and older devices.
What we shipped
lite.pollar.news is a minimal edition of Pollar. Every page is rendered on the server and delivered as plain HTML with no client-side JavaScript, so it opens quickly on slow connections, older phones, and text browsers. There is no app to load before you can read.
It carries the same reporting as the main site, including a lightweight version of the daily Brief.
Why it matters
News should reach people regardless of their bandwidth or hardware. The lite edition keeps Pollar usable in the places a heavier site would stall, without asking the reader to give anything up to read a story.
