Pollar for Android opens to everyone
The Android app is in open testing on Google Play, with the same edition in four languages.
What we shipped
Pollar for Android is now in open testing on Google Play, so anyone with an Android phone can install it. The app carries the same edition as the web and the iPhone: Home, Live, the Brief and Threads, with search, the markets and the local news map in the top bar. It works in English, Polish, German and French, runs on Android 8.0 or later and has a home-screen widget. Membership is available through Google Play, monthly or annual.
Why it matters
In Poland and across most of Europe, most phones run Android. Until now, Pollar on a phone meant an iPhone or the browser. Open testing puts the app in front of Android readers now, and what they report shapes the version that goes to the store for everyone.
