Piotr Zieliński wins two awards at Premio Gentleman gala in Milan
Inter midfielder Piotr Zieliński received the Gentleman Inter prize and the award for the best Inter goal of the 2025/26 season at a ceremony in Milan on Wednesday.
Two awards at the Milan gala
On Wednesday 7 October, Piotr Zieliński received two prizes at the Premio Gentleman gala, held at the Scuola Militare Teulie in Milan. He was named Gentleman Inter, an award for one of the club's most important players in the championship season, and he also won the prize for the best Inter goal of the 2025/26 season. The Premio Gentleman was founded in 1996 and was initially awarded only to players of the two Milan clubs, Inter and AC Milan, before its scope widened to all competitions and clubs in Italian football. The award recognises fair play, sporting loyalty and respect for opponents. TVN24 writes that over almost a decade and a half of play in Italy, Zieliński earned wide recognition for his sporting values and football class.
The goal against Hellas Verona
The goal that earned the second prize was scored on 2 November 2025 in a match against Hellas Verona that ended 2-1. Hakan Calhanoglu swung in a corner, and Zieliński struck first time without controlling the ball, placing it in the net. Przeglad Sportowy and Polsat Sport both describe the strike as a volley. Zieliński credited his teammate in his speech after receiving the award.
Hakan played the ball to me wonderfully, and I did what was required of me. It was a beautiful volley. This statuette also belongs to Hakan, because his cross was exceptional.
Other honours on the night
Giuseppe Marotta, Inter's president and chief executive, received the Premio Gentleman Internazionale AIPS award, which is given in cooperation with the Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive. Federico Dimarco was chosen as person of the season and was named Gentleman Lega Serie A. Mattia Mosconi, born in 2007, won Gentleman Rivelazione Inter for the 2025/26 season, in which he made his Serie A debut for the club. The ceremony also honoured Sandro Mazzoli, a legend of Inter and Italian football who died in September, and Marotta handed a special Gentleman Uomo di Sport award to Mazzoli's son. Inter dominated this year's gala, according to TVN24.

Ambitions for the season
Speaking at the gala, Zieliński framed the team's record in terms of resilience. He said Inter can come back from two goals down and win, though a quicker start would have been better.
We are a great team and we have proved it. Even when we are losing by two goals, we can always come back into the game and get a favourable result. That is our strength, although it would perhaps be better to score first and win 4-2.
After five Serie A rounds, Inter, Lazio and AS Roma each had 13 points, and Zieliński named Roma, Napoli, Juventus, Milan and Como as rivals in the title race. He said the club aims to win the Scudetto and has a dream of winning the Champions League, while expecting that Inter can reach the final. Interia, citing Gianluca Di Marzio's portal, reported that Inter wants to play as well as it can and win as many of the nine matches before the next international break as possible.
Next match
Inter's next league fixture is a Saturday home match against Parma, and TVN24 reports that Zieliński could start from the first minute. He returned to Milan after the Poland national-team camp in September and October. Interia notes that he needs strong club performances to earn another call-up from national coach Jan Urban.
