BSC Young Boys and FC Luzern shared the points in a 3-3 draw at Stadion Wankdorf during the seventh round of the Swiss Super League. The home side opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Alvyn Sanches delivered a pass to striker Samuel Essende, who finished with the inside of his foot into the far corner. Penalty drama and late equalizer
Luzern regained the lead in the 63rd minute when captain Matteo Di Giusto drove into the penalty area and was fouled from behind by Young Boys defender Dominik Pech. Di Giusto stepped up to take the resulting spot kick in the 65th minute, converting it to put the visitors ahead 3-2. Young Boys mounted continuous waves of attacks toward the Luzern goal, with Essende striking the woodwork for a third time before Luzern substitute Edin Etoski failed to convert a breakaway chance. The hosts found their third goal in the 87th minute when recent signing Herba Guirassy set up substitute Kaly Sene, who slotted the ball over the line. Luzern forward Lars Villiger had an opportunity deep in stoppage time to secure victory, but the Young Boys defence intercepted the attack before the final whistle.
