Goals before and after the break
West Ham nearly opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, when a Bowen corner was headed wide by Mohamadou Kante, but the breakthrough came on the stroke of half-time. Konstantinos Mavropanos headed in from a Bowen corner in the 45th minute. The second half belonged to West Ham from the first whistle. Edvin Austbo, a half-time substitute, curled a powerful effort into the top corner in the 48th minute, and Bowen scuffed a left-footed shot past the unsighted goalkeeper George Wickens two minutes later.
