Across those operating territories, the company's autonomous fleet has logged more than 350 million kilometres without human intervention and completed over 20 million paid passenger trips. Waymo is also preparing tests for cold-weather operating conditions along the US East Coast. Internal safety assessments released by the company report lower rates of severe injuries and fewer collisions involving pedestrians and cyclists compared to human drivers.
