After finishing the meal, the second player decided to leave the residence, leaving the 15-year-old victim alone inside the home with the coach. The suspect then ordered the girl to remove her clothes. When the teenager refused to obey his instructions, the coach forcibly moved her into a bedroom and completed the sexual assault. Following the attack, he issued explicit threats to prevent her from revealing what had occurred to her family or authorities. In the days immediately following the incident, he attempted to maintain contact with the minor through various social media platforms until the victim blocked his profile.

Medical discovery and hospital confirmation

The alleged assault remained undisclosed until relatives of the teenager observed noticeable behavioral changes in her daily routine over the subsequent weeks. The victim eventually began experiencing continuous physical indisposition, including persistent nausea and severe vomiting. A relative subsequently accompanied her to the Son Espases Hospital in Palma for a thorough medical examination, where clinical laboratory tests confirmed that the 15-year-old was pregnant.

Following the diagnosis at Son Espases Hospital, the family lodged a formal criminal complaint with the National Police. The case was immediately assigned to the Family and Women Care Unit (UFAM), the specialized investigative branch handling offenses involving sexual violence and child protection. UFAM officers conducted a comprehensive formal interview with the minor, gathering her detailed statement regarding the mid-June events. The testimony enabled investigators to verify the circumstances of the assault, corroborate the location, and positively identify the volleyball trainer as the alleged perpetrator.

Arrest and judicial proceedings

UFAM investigators located and arrested the 23-year-old coach at his private residence in Palma late last week. On Saturday, officers transferred the suspect to the Palma court complex, where he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority and appeared before the duty judge.
