Optical hardware and teleconverter integration
The optical module is built around a 200-megapixel primary camera utilizing a 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPB sensor alongside CIPA 4.5 professional image stabilization. Secondary optics comprise a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens powered by a Sony LYTIA 602 sensor. This periscope setup holds Zeiss APO optical certification, providing 3x native optical zoom at a 70 mm equivalent focal length and digital magnification reaching 100x. Vivo also designed the foldable to pair with the optional vivo Zeiss Gen 2 teleconverter attachment. Mounting the teleconverter extends the focal length to a 200 mm equivalent, expanding capabilities for specialized portrait, landscape, stage, and pro camera modes.

Display architecture and physical dimensions
The device unfolds into a tablet format centered on an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED internal panel with a peak luminance of 5,000 nits. On the outside, the foldable features a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen in a conventional 20:9 smartphone aspect ratio, which also reaches 5,000 nits at peak output. Both panels deliver variable refresh rates up to 120 Hz, minimum brightness levels down to 1 nit, and Zeiss Master color calibration. The chassis measures 4.4 millimeters in thickness when fully unfolded. Device weight is measured between 228 grams and 235 grams across technical disclosures, keeping it lighter than the 254-gram Apple iPhone Duo. A protective rubber-finish case is included in the packaging to improve outer grip and assist in unfolding the screens.
Processing hardware, battery, and durability
Under the hood, the X Fold 6 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset engineered jointly by MediaTek and Vivo to control thermal output. Operating on OriginOS 7 Fold, the Android-based software introduces enhanced artificial intelligence features for multi-window productivity and split-screen multitasking. Power is delivered by a BlueVolt battery with a capacity of 6,900 mAh (recorded in some manufacturer specifications as 7,000 mAh). The power system supports 80-watt wired charging, 40-watt wireless charging, and reverse wireless power sharing. The device carries IP5X dust protection alongside IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings, and is available in Horizon Blue and Prism Black finishes.
