Arsenal pursue Vinicius Jr with 160m euro price tag, Liverpool target Barcola and Guimaraes deadline looms – transfer gossip

Arsenal are exploring a move for Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr with a reported price of 160m euros, while PSG want £145m for Bradley Barcola. Arsenal also accelerate talks for Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes.

Arsenal target Vinicius Jr

News of Arsenal's interest in Vinicius Jr surfaced on Saturday, sparking a flurry of speculation. Spanish outlet Sport reports that Real Madrid have valued the 26-year-old Brazil forward at 160 million euros, with his contract entering its final 12 months. According to the Mirror, Arsenal would be prepared to hand Vinicius the largest contract in the club's history to lure him to the Emirates. AS in Spain states, however, that the player's priority is to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. The situation is further complicated by the impending arrival of Jose Mourinho as Real Madrid head coach, who would need to approve any departure.

Barcola and Liverpool's winger need

Paris Saint-Germain have slapped a £145 million valuation on 23-year-old France forward Bradley Barcola, The Times reports, with both Arsenal and Liverpool interested. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has made clear the club's transfer priorities, telling reporters the Reds "definitely need to sign a winger" this summer. The Merseyside club have also been linked with Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche, a target pursued by PSG as well.

Guimaraes race against Newcastle pre-season

Arsenal are poised to ramp up negotiations for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. TalkSport says the Gunners want to accelerate talks, while TeamTalk reports that the 28-year-old Brazil international has instructed his agents to resolve his future within a week, before Newcastle's pre-season training camp starts. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe confirmed he wants the captain to stay but admitted the final decision lies beyond his control.

Elsewhere: Savinho, Salah, Zirkzee and more

Tottenham are frontrunners to sign Brazil winger Savinho, 22, from Manchester City, according to the Sun. Sky Sports says Real Madrid have agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig's 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande. Fabrizio Romano revealed that Saudi club Al-Hilal have opened talks over Everton's Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye, 26. Chelsea are demanding a significant fee for Portugal winger Pedro Neto, 26, amid interest from Liverpool, Manchester City and Saudi Arabian teams, per the Mail.

Besiktas have submitted a final contract offer to 34-year-old free agent Mohamed Salah, who left Liverpool earlier this summer, with the Mail indicating the Turkish club waits for his decision. In Italy, Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus are working on a deal to sign Manchester United's Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee, 25. Bournemouth have no intention of selling 20-year-old French striker Junior Kroupi despite Barcelona links, as Marca reports. AS claims Fulham are the leading candidate to take 18-year-old Argentina midfielder Franco Mastantuono on loan if Real Madrid sanction a temporary move. Bild in Germany reports that Bayern Munich want to offload 31-year-old Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha, though the player wishes to stay. Meanwhile, reports from Italy suggest Manchester United have an agreement in principle for France international Manu Kone, with Aurelien Tchouameni another target. Arsenal are also monitoring centre-back options, with Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa and Manchester City's John Stones both on the radar.
