Overnight strikes on Ukrainian cities

Russian forces launched an extensive overnight aerial bombardment across Ukraine on 8 September 2026, ending a three-day pause in attacks on the capital. Mixed assessments of the US diplomatic mission

The resumption of Russian bombardments followed the conclusion of discussions held by US presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
