Islam Makhachev will attempt to break Anderson Silva's consecutive wins record when he defends his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 in Philadelphia on August 15, with two title fights on the card.

Islam Makhachev (28-1-0) will make the first defence of his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry (17-1-0) in the headliner of UFC 330 on Saturday, August 15, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Makhachev, 34, won the belt by outpointing Jack Della Maddalena in November, after vacating the lightweight title following a record-breaking four successful defences. The Russian is currently tied with Anderson Silva for the most consecutive UFC wins at 16 and will attempt to claim a 17th successive victory. His only professional loss was a knockout against Adriano Martins in 2015.
Machado Garry, 28, enters as the underdog but is regarded by multiple outlets as Makhachev's toughest challenger during his championship reign. The Irishman's sole defeat came against Shavkat Rakhmonov in 2024, when he had Rakhmonov in a deep submission attempt late in the fight. He bounced back with unanimous decision wins over Carlos Prates and former champion Belal Muhammad. Both fighters weighed 170lb at the official weigh-ins.

The co-main event features women's strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern defending her belt for the first time against Gillian Robertson. Dern won the interim title by outpointing Virna Jandiroba in October and was upgraded to full champion after Zhilei Zhang moved up in weight and vacated the title. Weigh-in words
At the weigh-ins, Makhachev described Machado Garry as his "next target" and told supporters he is "ready to make all people happy" with victory. Machado Garry, responding to booing fans, told them they "should be grateful" about watching "two of the biggest fighters ever in this sport."
