Presale and new album
Presale tickets for U2.com subscribers open on Monday, 19 October 2026 at 10am local time. Remaining tickets go on sale on Thursday, 22 October at 10am local time on U2.com. The tour is tied to the album Carnaval De Luz, the band's 16th studio album, due on 13 November.
The album is the first new material from U2 in nine years and was helmed by Jacknife Lee. It includes Torn, a duet between Bono and the late Dolly Parton, and The Mirror Maker (Rosalía), a song dedicated to the Spanish singer Rosalía.
New single
The Greatest Show On Earth, the third single from the album, was co-written by U2 and Brian Eno. The song tells of lovers struggling to keep faith in one another and in faith itself. The video, directed by Anton Corbijn, was shot in the Californian desert and satirises the band as a religious cult in which women do all the heavy lifting.
A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto.
Recent shows
The band recently played a surprise set from the balcony of Bewley's Cafe on Grafton Street in Dublin to mark 50 years together. Larry Mullen Jr., who missed the 2023 to 2024 Sphere residency in Las Vegas while recovering from health problems, returned to the drum kit for those surprise gigs, according to the Irish Examiner.
