Zelenskyy says Donald Trump agreed to meet in New York for peace talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Donald Trump agreed to hold a meeting in New York to discuss pathways toward ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.

In a post published on X, Zelenskyy referenced the progress of ongoing bilateral contacts between Ukrainian and American representatives ahead of the planned discussions.

There is diplomatic momentum

Zelenskyy also extended thanks to Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, for their involvement in facilitating the engagement between both parties.
