Toruń demolishes Motor Lublin 61-29, erasing 22-point first-leg deficit to claim bonus

A devastating start

Toruń set the tone immediately with two 5-1s in the opening heats. Patryk Dudek and Norick Bloedorn won the first with authority, and Antoni Kawczyński with Mikołaj Duchiński added another to make it 10-2 after just two races. Emil Sajfutdinow then chased down Bartosz Zmarzlik in heat three, although Mateusz Cierniak managed to hold off Mikkel Michelsen for a shared heat.

Sajfutdinow unbeatable at home

Sajfutdinow delivered a flawless four-ride maximum, scoring 12 points. He repeatedly overcame Lublin’s leading men, passing Zmarzlik on the track in heat three and overtaking Kacper Woryna on the last bend of heat eight. His dominance, with Robert Lambert (11+2) and Dudek (12+2), gave the hosts a lead that grew heat by heat.

Zmarzlik fights alone

Bartosz Zmarzlik, the current Speedway Grand Prix leader, scored 14 of Lublin’s 29 points, including a fastest heat time of 60.07 seconds. He won three races but received almost no support. Martin Vaculik finished with just one point and a bonus, visibly struggling to compete all afternoon. Kacper Woryna added six, while the juniors and reserve riders managed only eight points combined.

Lindgren’s absence deepens crisis

Lublin arrived without Fredrik Lindgren, who has been out since a crash in May. Pre-match analysis noted that riders replacing him had averaged only 1.25 points per meeting, and Dawid Cepielik was again absent from the scorecard. The champions have now lost four league matches this season and have not won in Toruń since August 2023.

Bonus point changes hands

After four heats the margin was 17-7, and by heat nine it was 34-20. Toruń, who lost the first leg 56-34 in Lublin, took the aggregate lead for the first time after heat 12 when Kawczyński won and Bloedorn overtook Cierniak, who fell. Heat 13 saw Sajfutdinow and Lambert defeat Zmarzlik 5-1, and the final three heats all went 5-1 or 3-3 to the home side. The final score of 61-29 gave PRES Toruń all three match points, two for the win plus the bonus, reversing the tie 95-85 overall.
