Two 16-year-olds located

Officers had located the minors and were carrying out proceedings with them. She stated that all participants in the incident were residents of Kamienna Góra. Police had initially launched a manhunt for the perpetrator or perpetrators, uncertain whether the boy had been attacked by one person or multiple aggressors. The attacker fled the scene after wounding the victim.
The search was complicated by large crowds in the area, as the Zalew Fest 2026 festival had begun that same day. The event, part of the Dni Kamiennej Góry celebrations running from 7 August through Sunday, was taking place several hundred metres from the attack site. Authorities did not interrupt the festival, noting it was being secured by dozens of officers and a private security firm. Police stated that residents could feel safe at the event.
Trzepak told RMF FM reporter Michał Krasoń that officers were conducting both procedural and operational activities at the scene.
Officers from Kamienna Góra are conducting both procedural and operational activities on site, aimed at clarifying all circumstances of this incident, and of course at bringing about the detention of the suspect or suspects of this act.

The perpetrator in that case was temporarily arrested and awaits trial. Police have not disclosed further details about the relationship between the two 16-year-olds and the attack on the 15-year-old, nor have they confirmed what weapon was used. The Ministry of Health separately reminded the public of the obligation to provide first aid, stressing that bleeding should be stopped immediately before medical help arrives.
