Vanitatis first reported that Cayetana Rivera and the Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey had split after six months together. ABC noted that wedding talk had started in late September, about two weeks before the breakup report. Vanitatis said Roca Rey, overwhelmed by how fast the relationship was moving, chose to end it so he could concentrate on his career. Rivera, the daughter of Francisco Rivera and Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, was described as surprised and upset, having spent more and more time at his estate in Seville. ¡Hola! disputes that the split is final, describing it instead as a rough patch following a strong argument, according to sources close to the couple. Rivera's first words
Rivera appeared before Europa Press cameras in Madrid, where reports say she has been staying with her family, friends and work. Asked about the split, she neither confirmed nor denied it, and kept her answer short.
No, I am not going to say anything, because I never say anything.
She then gave a shy smile and said she was doing "very well, yes, honestly". Europa Press read that remark as possibly leaving room for a quick reconciliation, although no source has confirmed one.
Friends and the wider circle
Tomás Páramo, a close friend of both, avoided talking about the split at a fashion brand's tenth anniversary party. On his way home he answered reporters, saying everything was "very good, everyone very good" and declining to confirm the end of the relationship. He argued that each person should speak about their own private life, and said he would always support them.

Carmen Lomana, speaking in Madrid at the opening of Mario Vaquerizo's new production of the musical Cabaret, said she had sensed the split coming. She said the two are very different in their attitude to life and that bullfighters tend to be inward-looking. Asked whether they might reunite, she said she did not know.
Tana is wonderful, but the person who has to like her and make her happy is Andrés.
ABC also recalled that Roca Rey's previous relationship, with a Sevillian businesswoman, ran from 2015 to 2022. It added that Victoria Federica, another close friend, has been the subject of rumours that her relationship with Jorge Navalpotro is going through a bad patch.
Cancelled birthday party
El Mundo reports that a joint birthday party the couple had planned for 17 October at La Consentida, Roca Rey's estate a few kilometres from Seville, has been cancelled. The lunch was due to start at two in the afternoon and run late into the night, and the invitation Rivera sent to friends carried a playful illustration. El Mundo says Rivera was born on 16 October and Roca Rey on 21 October, and that the pair had planned to celebrate together. For now, the outlet reports no sign of a reconciliation.
