Suspect arrested after brief flight
The suspect, also 22 years old and an Afghan national, fled immediately after the attack. Police launched a swift search and apprehended him shortly afterward. He remains in police custody. A spokeswoman said it was not yet clear when pre-trial detention would be ordered, as evidence and witness statements must first be evaluated.

The area around Robert-Schuman-Allee was cordoned off extensively. Authorities said there was no danger to the public.
